How Global Sevilla School Builds Student Knowledge and Character

The Global Sevilla School mission pairs academics with character building. Founded in 2002, it runs two Jakarta campuses and partners with GSF.

Global Sevilla School building student knowledge and character

Global Sevilla School was founded in October 2002 by Sudhamek AWS, Dr. Susan Jane Natih, and Nurcholish Majdjid, Ph.D. The school, located in the Pulo Mas area of East Jakarta, carries the mission "Nurturing Global Students with Character," meaning the development of global students with character. The mission makes clear that the school aims to develop children's academic education in step with good character building and with personal and social development.

Key Elements for Building Students' Knowledge

After the success of Global Sevilla School Pulo Mas in East Jakarta, a second school, Global Sevilla School Puri Indah Campus in West Jakarta, was founded in 2004. As it has grown, the school has offered several elements considered essential for building students' knowledge, such as multi-faceted academic practice, excellence based on global practices, a futuristic curriculum, and international knowledge exchange programs.

These elements educate students while building their skills and leadership. Global Sevilla School also has facilities ready to support its curriculum, including a library, computer laboratory, swimming pool, music room, science laboratory, smart board, gym, basketball court, volleyball court, and indoor badminton court. To maximize learning, fast Wi-Fi is available across the school grounds.

As an international-standard school, Global Sevilla School has a partnership with Global School Foundation (GSF), one of the largest education foundations in the world, with a globally recognized reputation. Headquartered in Singapore, GSF manages nearly all of its international-standard schools, mainly in Asia, in countries such as Japan, India, Vietnam, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Malaysia, and of course Indonesia.

Through this partnership, Global School Foundation shares its best experience in international education to promote educational excellence at Global Sevilla School, mainly through the Global Centre for Education Excellence. The approach resembles the Malcolm Baldrige Model for Excellence, which is well known in the United States.

Given its strengths and facilities, Global Sevilla School deserves its reputation as one of the best international-standard schools in Indonesia.
